We are pleased to partner with Jean Lafitte National Historical Park & Preserve to produce this video recognizing the power of art to address the planet’s environmental challenges. Our forest and its habitat share many of the same concerns as Jean Lafitte National Historical Park’s Barataria Preserve. In this video, Rising Resident Sidiki Conde shares some of the music he wrote in residence and discusses the role of artists and musicians in addressing the climate crisis. Sidiki collaborated with New Orleans musicians Dr. Michael White, Mitchell Player, Gregory Stafford, and Detroit Brooks, who are also featured.
