Join us at A Studio in the Woods on Saturday, November 12, 2022, 11am – 5pm for our 12th annual celebration of art and nature.
This year’s musical line up spans the waterways and bayous of South Louisiana featuring Shamarr Allen, Sabine McCalla, and Wayne Singleton & Same Ol’ 2 Step (all the way from Lake Charles!) along with Zydeco dance instruction from Harold Guillory.
Our annual family-friendly festival will feature great music, presentations by artists, guided walks in the woods with scientists, hands-on art activities for kids of all ages, a silent auction, and local food and drink. Now in its twelfth year, FORESTival provides a rare opportunity to enjoy the lush grounds at A Studio in the Woods – eight acres of bottomland hardwood forest that feel a world away while still being within the New Orleans city limits.
$15 suggested donation, kids free!
This family-friendly day of celebration features live music, artist presentations by current and former residents, special guest artists, guided walks in the woods with scientists, and a silent auction. There are hands-on art activities for kids of all ages and local food and drink are available for purchase.
FORESTival is the only time during the year that A Studio in the Woods is open to the public at large and this signature celebration of art and nature is fun for the whole family. A Studio in the Woods is located in Lower Algiers at 13401 Patterson Rd. New Orleans LA, 70131, about a 25 minute drive from downtown New Orleans.
