ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES: Research Plots
The map below describes the photo plot locations and research locations. There are 26 photo plot locations and 32 study plots. At the 26 photo locations 3 pictures are taken every 4-6 months, resulting in a permanent batch of pictures following the project over time; starting in may 2004. In the 32 research plots all trees (438) were measured and mapped in June 2005 and resurveyed in June 2006, providing a database on the damage from Hurricane Katrina.
