John Lacarbiere III is an artist of many forms, including writing, spoken word, and photography. He has several books of poems and photography published, as well as spoken word albums.

He has most recently been spending time documenting Louisiana wildlife and guiding adults and children on walks in the swamp. While spending time at A Studio in the Woods he worked on a nature book and an environmental program for teens in New Orleans.
