Inspired by a series of residencies pairing artists with scholars, Lesen and Rogan have embarked on a journey to investigate the power of art-science collaborations: What makes them successful and effective? In what ways do they uniquely impact science learning and engagement? How can research enhance the reach of the art-science field?
DASER (DC Arts Science Evening Rendezvous) is a monthly discussion forum on art and science projects in the national capital region. It is part of the Leonardo Art Science Evening Rendezvous (LASER) international network of art and science salons. DASER strives to provide the public with a snapshot of the cultural environment of the region and to foster community and discussion around the intersection of disciplines.
