Adaptations Residents Géraldine Laurendeau and Jonathan Mayers collaborate on new works

Adaptations Residents Géraldine Laurendeau and Jonathan Mayers recently released two collaborative short films, “Meschacébé” and “Ô Grand Cyprès“. Both films are inspired by research and writings done while in residence. The artists met during their residencies and bonded over a shared interest in the natural environment of southeast Louisiana and their French language heritage. Lauendeau is a multidisciplinary artist from Montreal, Canada and Mayers is a Louisiana Creole artist and writer from Baton Rouge, LA. View the films below and subscribe to their Youtube channel here.
