The Late Late Stage Capitalism Show with Kate Cheka

March 23 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

The Late Late Stage Capitalism Show
A special where the environment talks back!
Hosted by Kate Cheka

The talk show to end all talk shows. It’s the end of the world, and there are some creatures and elements of the natural world that have something to say. Join us and current Rising Resident Kate Cheka on Saturday, March 23rd, 5pm – 8pm for a humorous take on the apocalypse and finally hear all the thoughts and feelings of all those so affected by human-made climate change!

They asked can you make climate change funny? We say yes! Featuring comedy stylings and theriomorphic performances from the TREES, the spirit of the DINOSAURS, a GLACIER, and more.

There’ll be snacks and drinks, and we welcome you all to dress up as the flora/fauna and rejoice in the end of the world! The event is free, but registration is required below. *The event will take place outdoors on uneven terrain. In case of rain, we will move it indoors*

Kate Cheka (UK) is an artist, writer and comedian whose primary creative medium is human emotion, either trying to make people laugh (comedy), think (philosophical musings) or feel (storytelling). She has traveled extensively, studied in four different countries and performed stand-up in seven. Having lived in Berlin and Buenos Aires as well as Delhi and Dar es Salaam her primary focus is always the human lived experience, the best art walks with you through life, reflecting back our intimate feelings as well as (hopefully) providing inspirational impetus for revolutionary acts.
